Becca continued in college studying public relations and minoring in dance. She graduated in 2011 from Western Michigan University and was a member of the nationally ranked Bronco Dance Team. The team worked with top choreographers such as Alvin Ramirez, Liz Schmidt, and Brooke Pierotti. At Western, Becca was able to continue to improve her skills focusing on dance classes that emphasized improv, choreography, and costuming.
Becca has been consistently teaching and choreographing since the age of 17, and has years of experience working with young children and beginners to technically advanced dancers. She loves working across all styles of dance but feels especially connected to contemporary and modern dance. While living Kalamazoo Becca’s students won many top awards such as, “Highest Scoring 13+ Number”, “Best Of Show Choreography Award”, “Top Choreography Score” and many Top overall duets, trios, and soloists at different regional competitions across the state. Many of her students have gone on to be accepted into top college dance programs on scholarships.
Becca spends her summers teaching master classes and intensives for many local Michigan studios and setting choreography. She also continues her dance education by attending Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and studies under instructors such as Terrell Paulk, Judy Rice, Jeremy Plummer and Jon Lehrer. Becca is also an adjudicator for On Pointe Talent Competition. She aims for every dancer, no matter what age, to leave her class feeling refreshed, inspired, and with new knowledge. She hopes to create pieces that the dancers will remember for years to come.
